    Morses Club Review

Morses Club is different from most of the payday loan companies you see today online. This is because they are a doorstep based company who can deliver the cash to your door through one of their agents. Very much like the nations well-known Provident.

This is fantastic if you do not have a bank account and prefer a more personal based service. They work very similar to Provident loans in that way and may offer loans to a lot of people that apply, as long as you are over 18 years of age and are in the same area as one of the Morses Club branches.

For new customers, they can borrow up to an amount of £400, the existing customers are able to borrow up to £1500, as long as you have paid off your previous loan and didn’t miss any payments.

It is a weekly based service so your repayments will be taken every week, which is ideal for people who are on benefits or weekly paid jobs. It means you won’t have a large sum to pay every month, which may take most of your wages.

    How the company works:

There are two ways in which you are able to apply for a loan with Morses Club, you can either apply online using their online application form or if you prefer, you can call them and apply over the phone with one of their customer service agents.

You will know almost instantly if you have been approved as they asses your credit history. Do not worry if you have a bad credit file, you still have a chance of being accepted as they asses each loan application individually.  As long as you have not been declared bankrupt within the previous 6 years then you have a chance in being approved for a loan with them.

If you are approved then your local Morses Club branch will arrange to contact you to arrange for a convenient time and date for one of their agents to call round and complete your application and issues you with your money.

Do I need a bank account?

You do not need a bank account to be able to apply for a loan with Morses Club. As this is a doorstep loan service, your agent can bring the cash directly to your house and also collect your weekly payments in person.

To be eligible to apply for a loan you must fit the following criteria:

    Age

All applicants will need to be a minimum of 18 years old.

    Address information

You will need to be a resident of the UK and have an address which is in the same area as a Morses Club branch. This is because an agent will need to be local to be able to visit you weekly.

During your loan application, you will also need to provide your address information for the previous 3 years so a credit check can be carried out.

    ID and Income

The Morses Club agents will conduct an affordability test with you to ensure that you can afford the loan.

This is different from a credit check, it is to ensure that as a responsible lender, they are not putting any of their customers at risk of getting themselves into financial difficulty.

Information on your income and outgoings will need to be provided so they can assess your financial situation against the amount of credit you are requesting to borrow. They will also need to see proof of both your monthly income and your outgoings. The following documentation will be accepted:

    Repayment method:

Repayment is done on a weekly basis through your agent. They will call to collect your loan and update your payment book. Payments can also be made by debit card if you prefer. Your first payment will be due 7 days after you receive your loan.

    Penalties

There are no penalties for missing a payment with Morses Club. You should, however, speak with your agent if you are struggling to make repayments so the can help you with a solution.

If you continue to miss repayments then your account may be passed onto a debt collection agency which could make your situation worse and result in you being prevented in applying for any more credit in the future.
